Biri again!

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

so fortunate to visit again the Biri-Larosa Protected Seascape of Northern Samar with a great weather. This time, our group stayed at the island overnight but never at the rock formations :(  it would have been a perfect time shooting the seascape and rock formations at night having the moon’s disk fully illuminated! anyways, i’ll try to schedule another trip next fullmoon :)

revisiting capul virtually

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

i’ve been stuck at home these past days because of the incessant rain… no birds, no landscape either… :(  so i “traveled” within my hard disk drive to perhaps felt like i went out and revisited some places here in samar :)  here are the photos from the first stop of my virtual travel,  capul.

Inside Samar Island Natural Park - looking all around

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Once again, I was able to experience the hidden attraction of Samar Island Natural Park (SINP).  Limited not with just bird objective in mind but with the interest to photograph forest-dwelling species and some forest features.

All photographs taken at Samar Island Natural Park.  Enjoy viewing!

moondawn-webStarted shooting as early as 5:30AM.  The good thing of shooting moon at dawn is that you’ll have a colored background compared to a total black when taken at night :)

with this photo, i was able to proved again to myself that dawn is still my best time of day in photographing landscape :) very challenging that you have to compose, set and click as quick as you can because for a very short time, light temperature changes.
